Moving in together in Florence and using storage: your questions
The new home is in Scandicci and your things are in the center: do you collect from both?
Yes, with one pickup per address, each with its own date. The service area covers the whole province of Florence.
We have two leases ending in different months.
You book one pickup per home, on the date you need: each has its own quote, and the rate is monthly, with no yearly contract.
Can we get back just the table for the new kitchen?
Yes, that's partial redelivery: you write what you want back, with at least 48 hours' notice, and the rest stays in the warehouse under the same contract.
The sofa won't go up the stairs of the building: will you take it apart?
Disassembly is done on a quote, together with the pickup. In the historic center's buildings, where flights are narrow and there may be no elevator, give the floor and elevator in the quote.

How do I choose the size?
Estimate the volume with the calculator, or read the size guide: sizes run from 1 to 30 m². Large pieces needn't be packed.
Can plants and food be left in storage?
No: plants, food and drink don't go into the warehouse, and neither do cash, jewelry and original documents.

Service and local details
When does storage make sense if you're moving in together in Florence?
When the new home is smaller than the two apartments put together, or already furnished. In Florence that often happens: part of the rental market comes furnished, and a studio in the center can't take two wardrobes. Storage keeps aside what's left over, month by month, and nobody has to sell or give things away in a hurry.
The new home is already furnished
Many rental homes in Florence, aimed at students and workers from elsewhere, have a kitchen, wardrobes and a bed. Your sofa isn't needed there, but that's no reason to sell it.
One of you has a lease that ends
A student lease has an end already written in, and plenty are signed in Florence. If one of you leaves their home before the other, the pickup is booked for their date.
Two wardrobes, one bedroom
The bedroom takes one. Out-of-season clothes and the extra furniture wait in storage, one month at a time.
You try it out first
Starting to live together doesn't oblige you to sell anything. Keeping things aside costs a monthly rate, and you stop once you've decided.
How the pickup from two homes is organized
1. Each of you does the sums
You estimate the square meters with the calculator, then book: rate and pickup are in the quote, before you pay. The order has a single holder.
2. One pickup per home
If your things are at two addresses, there are two pickups, on different dates if needed. In the quote you give the floor and the elevator.
3. Indoors, with controlled entry
The warehouse has controlled access, video surveillance and an alarm; every box has its label.
4. What's needed comes back
Do you need the table for the new kitchen? Write with 48 hours' notice: we bring that piece, and the rest stays where it is.

What home are you moving into? The answer changes
In Florence people move in together into very different apartments: a furnished rental, an empty one to fill, a studio in the center. What goes into storage depends on that.

How much does it cost to keep the extra furniture aside?
You pay a rate each month, on the square meters you take up under the Florence price list, and the pickup once only. Redelivery is paid when you book it. If you commit to more months, the discount applies to the pickup, not the rate. The charge goes to the card of whoever booked: how the two of you split it is up to you.
