Temporary storage in Florence FAQ
How long can I keep my things in storage?
From one month up, as long as you like. It's billed by the month: for three weeks you still pay the whole month, then the rate runs month by month until you ask for redelivery, with no yearly contract. If your dates change, you extend without a new contract.
Can I get some items back and leave the rest?
Yes. You write which things you want back, with at least 48 hours' notice, and we return with those; the rest stays in safekeeping. There is no dedicated button in your account, so a message is enough.
I live in the ZTL: how does the pickup work?
Give the street and house number in the notes. Before fixing the date we explain how the loading will go: we don't take access for granted, which is why we need to know where your door is.
Do you collect outside the city too?
Yes, across the province of Florence: Scandicci, Sesto Fiorentino, Campi Bisenzio, Bagno a Ripoli, Empoli, Calenzano and the Mugello, for example.

Do I have to be there for the pickup?
You, or someone you've asked: a relative, the rental agency. They open the door and know what is leaving.
What can't I leave in storage?
No cash or valuables, original documents, food and liquids, fine art, damaged batteries or hazardous materials. For anything out of the ordinary, message us before the pickup.

When do you need temporary storage in Florence?
When your belongings need to get out of the way for a period you know: a home to show empty to buyers, a few months away from the city, premises that are changing. You need the space briefly, and a unit on a long contract would be wasted.
The apartment is for sale and looks better empty
You secure the furniture before the viewings. Visitors see clear rooms, and you don't have to rethink where everything goes if a buyer turns up early.
A few months away from Florence
A job somewhere else, a period of study abroad, an internship: you give up the home, but what you'll need on your return doesn't get thrown out.
A store or studio changing premises
Shelving, stock and fittings leave the old premises when you have to hand them back. They go into the new place on the day you choose, invoiced to the business.
A season's worth of things
Bikes, skis, terrace furniture, decorations: you use them three months a year and they clutter the other nine. We keep them until they're useful again.
How does temporary storage work?
You book online, picking the square meters and the pickup day: you choose the pickup day from the free ones in the calendar, and the one you pick is already confirmed. The quote shows rate and pickup before you pay. To get your things back you set the redelivery, and you can ask for just a part.

You say how much space you need, using the calculator if you're unsure, and choose a date among the free ones.
2. We come to your door
We load the items at your address, in the city or in a town of the province. In the notes, tell us the floor, the elevator and, if relevant, the street in the ZTL.
3. They stay in safekeeping
The warehouse is indoors, dry and access-controlled. For the whole period the rate is the one for the size you take up.
4. We bring them back when you decide
With 48 hours' notice, to the new home or another address. If you need only part of it, tell us which: the rest stays in safekeeping.

If you live in the center, remember the ZTL: sectors A, B and O run from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and until 4 p.m. on Saturdays, with gates that read the number plate. Write your street in the quote notes, so we can plan the loading before fixing the date.
What does temporary storage in Florence cost?
The Florence price list applies: a monthly rate for the floor area occupied, with no yearly contract and no deposit; the minimum billed is one month. On top comes the pickup at the start, once; if you commit to more months, the discount falls on the pickup. You pay for redelivery when you book it, with the figure visible before you confirm. Dismantling a piece of furniture isn't included: it's added, together with the pickup, on a free quote.
