“Excellent service. Whenever I had doubts or questions, they responded very quickly, within a day or two max. The redelivery service is as quick and convenient as it possibly can be, made my life as a student very easy.”

Furniture storage in Florence FAQ

Can you bring a wardrobe down from a fourth floor with no elevator?

Yes. In the center's historic palazzi it happens often, which is why we ask for the floor and the width of the staircase. If the whole wardrobe won't fit round the landings, we dismantle it on a free quote.

I live inside the ZTL: can the van get to my door?

Give the street and number when you book: before fixing the date we explain how the loading will work. We don't take the access permit for granted, so giving the street is the step that matters.

I have to clear a relative's home: can you take just some of the furniture?

Yes, we only load what you point out. The rest can stay in the home, go to a relative or be disposed of by you: we keep the furniture the family wants to hold on to, until it decides.

Which days can you collect in Florence?

Only on certain days, set week by week. When you book, the free dates are the only ones you can select: if you have to clear a home by a deadline, it pays to book ahead.

More questions

Do you go outside the city too?

Yes, we cover every town in the Florentine province: Empoli, Calenzano, Scandicci, Bagno a Ripoli, Sesto Fiorentino, Campi Bisenzio and the Mugello, for example.

Can I have the furniture sent outside the province?

Yes, by shipping on a quote, within Italy and abroad, Milan included. Our crew redelivers within the province of Florence.

Do I have to be there on loading day?

You, or someone you've given the job to, like a relative or the agency that manages the rental: they just need to open the door and know which pieces are leaving.

Service and local details

Why put your furniture into storage in Florence?

Because homes in Florence change hands often, and big furniture is the first thing left without a place. A rented apartment to hand back empty, a family home to clear, a move into a small apartment in the center: the piece is still worth keeping, but for a while it has nowhere to go.

  • The rented apartment must be handed back empty

The lease ends, or the landlord wants to rent it out unfurnished: wardrobes and beds leave before the keys go back and wait with us until you've found a home for them.

  • An inherited home to clear

A parent's or grandparents' furniture isn't divided up in an afternoon. We keep it safe while the family decides what to keep, and the home can be sold or rented out straight away.

  • From the suburbs to the center, and the space halves

Moving from a house in Bagno a Ripoli to an apartment in Santo Spirito means leaving something behind: the sideboard, the guest bed. It stays with us until you decide.

  • Work in a historic building

Redoing the wiring and floors of an old apartment needs empty rooms. The furniture leaves before the builders arrive and comes back once the work is done.

How is furniture storage organized in Florence?

Booking is online: you pick how many square meters and which day we collect. Florence isn't on our schedule daily: the calendar lists only our Florence days, and the date you choose is already confirmed. We load the furniture, label each piece and keep it; when you need it, you set the redelivery from your account.

  1. 1. Choose space and date

Before paying, the online quote tells you what the rate and the pickup cost. If you're unsure how much space your furniture takes, the calculator helps you estimate it.

  2. 2. Describe the home

In the notes, say which floor you're on, if an elevator exists, how wide the staircase is and if you live in the ZTL. Those details decide how the loading is planned.

  3. 3. We load, and dismantle if needed

Bulky pieces leave whole when they fit through the door; otherwise we take them apart, on a free quote requested with the pickup. At loading we need you, or whoever you've put in charge.

  4. 4. We bring them back

You set date and address, giving 48 hours' notice at least: in Florence or a town in its province.

Which furniture do we take into storage?

Everything that furnishes a home: seating, wardrobes, beds, tables, sideboards and bookcases, plus appliances and boxes. We don't accept money, original documents, food, liquids, medicines, fine art, or anything else the Terms forbid.

We take

  • Sofas and armchairs

Even the three-seater or the corner sofa, whole if it fits through, otherwise dismantled.

  • Wardrobes, beds and sideboards

The four-door wardrobe, the solid wood headboard, the living-room cabinet: they go as they are or in pieces.

  • Tables, chairs and bookcases

The dining table with its set of chairs, shelving, bedside tables and chests of drawers.

  • Appliances and boxes

Fridge or washing machine unplugged, empty and clean; books, plates and linen in boxes.

Stay out

Money and valuables, original documents, food, liquids and medicines, fine art, damaged batteries, anything flammable or dangerous. For an unusual piece, an antique or something you're not sure how to classify, message us before booking.

What to write in the notes, home by home

A pickup in Florence is prepared with two lines in the quote. These are the most common situations and what we need to read for each one.

Your homeWhat to write
Old building with no elevatorThe floor and the width of the staircase
Small elevatorThe size of the elevator car and of the largest pieces
Street inside the ZTLThe street name and house number
Wardrobe or bed to dismantleWhich pieces, for the dismantling quote
Home in a town of the provinceThe town and whether there's a courtyard for the van

In Florence the limited traffic zone (sectors A, B, O) applies on weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. and on Saturdays between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.; each gate has a camera that recognizes the number plate. The historic center was listed by UNESCO in 1982: in its old buildings, narrow stairs and no elevator are a common find.

What does it cost to store furniture in Florence?

Florence has separate prices: a monthly charge per square meter occupied, with no minimum term and no deposit, plus the pickup at the start. Dismantling isn't part of the rate: it's added on a free quote. Redelivery is charged when you book it, and you see the figure before confirming. To get back only some pieces, write to us: whatever you don't ask for remains in storage.
