Guide

Which box (and how many) to choose

Two sizes — Standard for small heavy items, Plus for the bulk of everyday things — plus the Smart Pack, which combines them at a reduced price. Here we help you figure out what you actually need — without paying for space you won't use.

Why two boxes, not one giant

An “XXL” box sounds handy, but in practice it causes more problems than it solves. That's why the Smart Pack — one Plus plus one Standard — is the smarter choice.

1

Weight under control

Each box holds up to 20 kg: beyond that, the bottom gives way. With two boxes you move up to 40 kg in total, split into loads one person can actually lift — without risking your back or your things.

2

Easier to move

Two normal-sized boxes are far easier to carry, stack and load into a car than a single oversized, bulky and unstable one.

3

Better protected

Spreading things across two boxes avoids cramming everything together: less crushing weight, fewer knocks, fewer breakages in transit.

4

Tidier

Heavy and compact in the Standard, bulky and light in the Plus: you find everything in its place when you open the boxes again.

The boxes we provide

We supply the boxes: two sizes plus the Smart Pack, in double-wall cardboard. Each one holds up to 20 kg — beyond that the bottom gives way, better to spread across more boxes.

STANDARD

40 × 30 × 30 cm

Volume up to 36 L

Max 20 kg

The right size for small, dense items. It fills up faster than you'd think.

  • Textbooks, course notes
  • Notebooks and stationery
  • Shoes (3-4 pairs)
  • Chargers, cables and accessories (no battery)

PLUS

60 × 40 × 40 cm

Volume up to 96 L

Max 20 kg

The all-rounder. If you don't know where to start, start here: most students use 2 or 3.

  • Clothes (summer or winter)
  • Towels and bathroom linens
  • Pots and kitchen accessories
  • Mixed room items

SMART PACK

1 Plus + 1 Standard

Volume up to 132 L total

20 kg per box (40 kg total)

Both sizes together, at a reduced price. 2 boxes instead of one large: easier to organise and carry, with less risk of damage.

  • Duvets and linens in the Plus
  • Books and heavy items in the Standard
  • Twice the carriable weight (20+20 kg)
  • The discount applies automatically in the quote

Practical examples by profile

Not sure where to start? These three profiles cover most of the cases among our students.

Just the essentials

Short Erasmus (1-3 months)

1× Smart Pack

Study books, a few clothing changes, personal items. The minimum to free your room without keeping too much.

Whole period

Full academic year

3× Smart Pack + 1× Plus

The typical setup for an off-site student: books, wardrobe, accessories, linens. Shelves and wardrobes get fully cleared.

Everything out

End of term / clearing the room

2× Smart Pack + 3× Plus

You need to vacate the room on a tight schedule. Lots of clothes, linens, a duvet and some bulky items. Few books — they stay home or get resold.

You can mix the sizes

You can book different sizes in the same order — for example 2× Plus and 1× Standard. Each one is charged at its own rate, no mix constraints; every Plus+Standard pair in your cart automatically gets the Smart Pack price.

Mini-quiz: find your ideal mix

Two questions, an instant estimate. It's a starting point, not an exact calculation — at pickup you only pay for the boxes you actually hand over.

What do you want to store?

Pick all categories that apply.

Already know how many sizes you need?

Once you've picked the sizes, the next step is preparing the boxes properly: what to pack together, what to avoid, how to label so you find everything again in September.

Got your mix?

Three minutes for the quote. You can change number and sizes up to the day before pickup.
