The smallest size
1-2 m²
You're away for a while, freeing up a room for a guest, or simply have a few things to put away. The smallest size is enough.
One room
4-6 m²
Moving house, renovating or clearing a bedroom: bed, desk, boxes and, from 6 m², the wardrobe too fit in a mid-range size.
The whole space
10 m² and up
A full house move, a stock warehouse or a company archive: the price list goes up to 30 m², and above that we prepare a custom quote.
The size you choose sets the vehicle and crew for the pickup, and when your things reach the warehouse we measure the space they take up: if it is less than you picked the rate goes down, if it is more it goes up. The calculator already includes a margin for stacking. If you later need more or less space, write to us and we'll look at it together.
If after the calculator you're still torn between two sizes, write to us and we'll pick one together: we answer Monday to Friday, usually within a few hours. Smoves started in Milan in 2026 because we lived this problem ourselves, and who we are tells the whole story.
Usually 4-6 m². At 4 m² bed, desk and boxes fit; at 5 m² a chair too, but not the wardrobe; at 6 m² the bedroom is complete, wardrobe and bike included. A sofa starts at 7 m². If you want the measurement on your own items rather than on an average, the calculator does it.

Not on the floor area: volume is what counts, not weight. The limit is on the single box, 20 kg, and the reason is simple — one person lifts it. Bulky items need no box at all, we collect them as they are.
