Do you assemble furniture I've just bought?
No. We dismantle and reassemble only furniture that we transport or store ourselves, as part of a pickup, a move or storage.
Do you reassemble the furniture on arrival?
Ask in the request: the quote tells you whether we do it for those pieces at that address, so you know before you confirm.
Who takes the furniture apart?
Our own crew, for ordinary pieces and for the more complicated ones. Smoves is always your point of contact.
Is disassembly included in the storage fee?
No. It isn't part of the monthly fee: it's added on a quote, and you read it before you confirm.

Only within a job where the furniture passes through us: transport from one home to another, a move, a period of storage. We dismantle before loading. New furniture to be assembled in your home, with no move on our part, isn't one of our services.
Why more gets dismantled in Florence
Many apartments in the center are in old buildings: low doors, flights that turn right away, elevators that are missing or tiny. A wardrobe assembled in the bedroom often can't leave whole. In your request, give the floor, the elevator and the width of the stairs, and we plan the right amount of work.

Reassembly
If you need the piece standing again at the new address, say so in the request: the quote gives you the answer, with no surprises on arrival. We don't take reassembly for granted on every piece.
If the furniture stays in storage
Taken apart it needs less space, and with storage by the square meter space is what you pay for. We collect it, keep it as long as you need and bring it back where you decide.
