Yes, books, binders, notes and paper archives can be stored, in closed boxes. Original personal documents, such as your passport or degree certificates, stay out: those travel with you.
Storage covers those months too, because it runs month by month. When you know where you're going next, you book the redelivery within the province of Florence or ask us for a shipment to another city.
You pay a monthly rate for the square meters you take up — the scale starts at 1 m² and the rate is fixed per size — plus a one-off pickup and transport charge at the start. Redelivery is booked when you need it and paid for then. The online quote shows you the rate and the pickup before you confirm.
For high-season pickup (June-July), at least 2-3 weeks ahead. For the rest of the year, 3-5 days is enough. A booked pickup isn't cancelled, but the date can be moved: the first move carries no penalty, with at least 48 hours' notice, and if the new day costs more you only pay the difference.
One size per square meter, from 1 to 30 m²: pick the closest to what you need, the quote gives you the exact monthly rate.

Smoves collects your things where you live, in Fiesole, Florence or elsewhere in the province, and keeps them in the warehouse month by month. You pay a rate for the square meters you take up plus a one-off pickup. You book the redelivery when you're back from research abroad, or once you've found your new home.
The European University Institute is a postgraduate institute: PhDs, master's programs and fellowships for researchers who come from many countries. Its sites are villas and palazzi between the San Domenico di Fiesole hillside and Florence. The Badia Fiesolana houses the library and the Department of Political and Social Sciences; Villa Salviati, on via Bolognese, the Departments of Law and History and the Historical Archives of the European Union; Palazzo Buontalenti, on via Cavour, the School of Transnational Governance.

Yes, Fiesole is in the province of Florence and we go there. On the hills, though, roads are often narrow and places to pull over are few: in the quote notes, say where we can stop and whether there's a gate or a path to walk. We need to know beforehand, not once we're standing at the gate.
