The answers you need
Do I have to give up my room to use storage?
No. Storage is meant for people who keep their room: you put aside clothes, books and tools you aren't using now, while your lease carries on as before.
How much space does a season of clothes take?
A season of clothes usually takes a few boxes, which fit in 1 m²; add the bike and you start at 2 m². The calculator in the quote suggests the size from what you have.
Do you collect outside the center too?
Yes, in Florence and the nearby towns: enter your postal code in the widget and you see the pickup price and the available dates straight away.
What do I pay each month?
You pay for the square meters you occupy, and the quote fixes the right amount. A distinct student rate doesn't exist: each item appears in the online quote before you pay.

Service and local details

From a rented room to storage: how it works
Studying far from home means no family cellar
If you come from another region, or from abroad, to study in Florence, there's no family cellar around the corner. A rented room is usually a single or a double in a shared apartment, the wardrobe is the landlord's, and home is for Christmas, Easter and the summer. The rest of the year the suitcase of heavy clothes, the bike, the fan and the first-year books take up floor space you are paying for in your rent. Storage lifts that weight without touching your room contract.
Which neighborhoods and postal codes do we cover?
Neighborhoods: Novoli, Rifredi, Careggi, Sesto Fiorentino. Postal codes: 50127, 50134, 50135, 50019.
The change of season, when there is only one wardrobe
In October the heavy coat takes the fan's place, in April it's the other way round. If you keep the room all year, you put aside what you don't need and call it back in the right season.
The exam calendar clears the desk
During exams the desk has to be empty: books from finished courses, handouts and the spare monitor wait with us until next semester, and come back when you call them.
Novoli, Careggi or Sesto: the campus changes, so does the room
Law and economics are studied at Novoli, medicine at Careggi, sciences at Sesto Fiorentino. Changing campus often means changing room midway, and stored things follow your date, not the lease's.
When a student living away from home in Florence needs storage
The wardrobe is full by November
You've been in Florence since September, you took a single room, and by mid-fall you don't know where to put the summer duffel bag. You leave it with us and get it back when you need it.
A year in a room, the bike stays in Florence
You go home for the holidays but the bike doesn't fit on the train. We keep it with the boxes you don't need until January.
The thesis and the desk
In the last year you need space and quiet: first-year books and old handouts leave the room and come back only once you've graduated.
