How long does summer storage last?
You choose the length. The fee follows the square meters, month by month, with no minimum term, and the quote shows every item before you pay.
Can my things be redelivered to a different address?
Yes, within the province of Florence redelivery goes to the address you give, which can differ from the pickup one, for example your new room in September.
What's worth leaving in storage over the summer?
Whatever doesn't fit in your suitcase: winter clothes, books, the bike, small appliances, lamps. The quote's calculator estimates the space.
Should I book early at the end of the academic year?
It's wise: in late June and July many students leave their rooms in the same period. The quote's calendar shows only the free dates.

Service and local details
From the June room to the September one
A gap of two or three months between two leases
Many student leases in Florence follow the academic year: you move in in September or October and leave in June or July, maybe after the summer exam session. If you go home, do an internship elsewhere or set off on a trip, you're left with boxes to clear out at once and nowhere to put them until the new lease. Storage covers those two or three months, without hauling everything on a train.

The keys go back to the landlord at the end of June
Book the pickup before the date you hand the place back. If you've already left by then, a roommate or a friend can open up for you.

The narrow stairs of central buildings get slower with boxes: give your floor in the quote so the pickup time is already estimated.

When students in Florence need storage over the summer
Room ended in June, new one starts in October
Your exams are done and the lease ends on 30 June, but your next place only starts in October. Your things stay in storage and reach the new room on the day you choose.
A summer internship in another city
You work three months away from Florence and don't want to pay for an empty room. You leave the boxes here and take only a suitcase.
You go home and your family has no space
The family garage is already full and your old room has become someone else's study. You set aside what you don't need in summer and take it back in fall.
