How self storage that collects your things works
The real cost of a unit is getting there
Whoever searches for self storage as a student usually pictures a unit, a shutter and a key. The problem is getting there: a third-floor room in an old building, no car, a center closed by the ZTL and a van to rent just to move four boxes. The real cost isn't the space, it's the transport. So the choice is between three paths: keep everything in your room, lean on someone's cellar, or pay for a storage that comes and gets your things. Here we set them side by side.
Which neighborhoods and postal codes do we cover?
Neighborhoods: Historic center, San Jacopino, Statuto, Santa Croce. Postal codes: 50121, 50123, 50129, 50131.
Carrying it yourself, stair by stair
With a space to reach, every box goes up and down the stairs twice, out and back. Room pickup takes that work out of your study days.
A rented van in the center
Driving into the center in a rented vehicle means finding somewhere to stop and working out the ZTL. With us you just give the street: we handle the stop.
Novoli or Sesto, where a space exists but is far
In the newer districts there are neighborhood storage sites, but without a vehicle they stay out of reach. Storage with pickup doesn't ask you to drive.
Three ways to keep your things as a student in Florence
Keeping everything in your room
It's free, but the floor turns into a warehouse and a full wardrobe leaves no room to work. The bill is square meters of rent you don't use for living.
A relative's or friend's cellar
It works while the cellar exists and the person is available. If they move, your things move with them.
Storage that comes and gets your things
You pay for the space plus the pickup, which you see before booking, without renting a vehicle. Your things stay in storage as long as you want.
