Storage during a separation FAQ
Who pays the rate, and can it be in one person's name?
The order has a single holder: they save the card and the rate is charged there every month. The other person doesn't appear on the order, but can be named as a delegate at the pickup.
Can we have furniture collected from two different addresses?
Yes: you book one pickup per address, and each has its own quote, which you see before confirming.
How long can it stay with you?
As long as you need. You pay month by month, with no yearly contract, and your things stay in the warehouse until you ask for redelivery.
Can I get only part of the furniture back?
Yes, partial redelivery exists: it isn't a button in your account, you ask for it by writing to us with at least 48 hours' notice. We bring back what you name and the rest stays in storage.
More questions
What if the pickup date no longer works?
Once booked, the pickup can't be canceled, but the date can move: the first move carries no penalty if you tell us at least 48 hours ahead. From the second one, or if you tell us later, you pay 30% of the pickup price.
What can't I put in storage?
No cash or valuables, jewelry, original personal documents, food and liquids, fine art, damaged batteries or hazardous materials. Fragile items, appliances and battery-powered devices are allowed under conditions. If in doubt, message us before pickup.

Service and local details
When do you need storage during a separation?
When one of you leaves the home and the new place isn't there yet, is smaller, or the furniture hasn't been divided. Storage takes the rush out: things are safe, the split gets decided calmly, lawyers included. We do the collecting, from your door.
One of you is moving out
The new apartment is still to be found. Meanwhile your furniture waits with us, with no need to leave it with friends or relatives.
It isn't yet clear who keeps what
Until it's decided, things stay in storage and nobody chooses in a hurry.
The new place is smaller
What you need goes in, the rest waits with us month by month until you know whether you want it.
You want a pickup with an agreed date and time
If you'd rather not be there, someone you trust can be present at the pickup as your delegate.
How it works
1. You book online
Choose the square meters and the date. The quote shows the rate and the pickup before you pay. The order has one holder, who saves the card.
2. We collect at your door
We come with our crew. If the furniture is in two different homes, you book one pickup per address.
3. We keep it until things are decided
It stays in an indoor, dry, access-controlled facility. Every box is labeled and logged.
4. We redeliver where it's needed
When you know where you're going, you ask with 48 hours' notice and we bring everything, or only part, to the address you give us.
What you can store
Allowed
Furniture
Sofas, beds, wardrobes, tables and bookcases, disassembled if needed.
Appliances
Fridge, washing machine, oven: if unplugged, emptied and clean.
Boxes
Books, clothes, dishes, photo albums: up to 20 kg each, because one person lifts it.
Pictures, mirrors, lamps
Fragile items are allowed if well packed and flagged at pickup.
Not allowed
You can't store money and valuables, jewelry, original documents, food and liquids, fine art, damaged batteries or hazardous materials. The paperwork for your case stays with you too. Message us before pickup if you're unsure about something.
What happens to each thing in the home?
In a separation, not everything is in the same position: some things go with you, some wait for a decision, some stay with you. Here they are in order.
| At home you have | Does it go into storage? | How we handle it |
|---|---|---|
| Furniture you're taking | Yes | We collect it assembled. If it needs taking apart, we do it with the pickup, on a quote |
| Things not yet divided | Yes | They stay in storage under the same contract, and you can have just part of it brought back |
| Appliances | Yes | Allowed if unplugged, emptied and clean |
| Boxes of clothes, books, photos | Yes | Maximum 20 kg per box |
| Jewelry, cash, valuable watches | No | They stay with you |
| Original documents (passports, deeds, certificates) | No | They stay with you, even if the case needs them |
Whoever booked is our contact: they are the one who asks for redelivery. Whose things they are is for you to settle, or your lawyers: we store and bring back where we're told.
How much does storing furniture during a separation cost?
You pay a fixed monthly rate based on the square meters you take up, plus a one-off pickup charge at the start. Redelivery is paid when you book it. If you commit to more months, the discount applies to the pickup, not the rate. The rate is charged to the card of whoever booked: how you split the cost is up to you. The quote shows the rate and the pickup before you book.
