Sports equipment storage in Florence: your questions
Do I have to carry the skis down from the fourth floor myself?
No, the operator loads them. Flag the floor and the elevator when you book, because they count toward the loading time: if it runs longer than expected, you see it as an estimate and settle it on the actual time.
Is a vintage bike for the Eroica accepted?
Yes, if it's a bike to ride, like any other clean, mud-free one. If instead it's a valuable collector's piece, it falls among the items we don't accept: write to us with a photo before booking.
Does a three-metre SUP board fit?
We collect it as it is, with no box, as long as it's clean and sand-free. If it's truly oversized, write to us the length and weight: oversized items are done on a quote.
Can I get the skis back in December and leave the bike?
Yes. For a partial redelivery you write to us what you want back, with at least 48 hours' notice: the rest stays with us, under the same contract.

Let them dry before the pickup: no wet or muddy gear goes into the warehouse, and that includes the bike after a gravel road.

When is sports gear better off out of the house in Florence?
When the sport you love is practised far from where you sleep. From Florence you go to the Apennines for snow, to Chianti by bike, to the sea in a little over an hour: the gear is needed a few weekends a year, and the rest of the time it takes up meters of your home. We collect it and bring it back before the trip.
Skis and boots for the Abetone
Snow on the Pistoia Apennines lasts a few weeks a year, and you go for the day or a weekend. The rest of the time the skis live behind a door.
The vintage bike and the road bike
Anyone who rides the hills, or vintage events like the Eroica in Chianti, cares for a bike that isn't chained on a landing or hung in the stairwell of a historic building.
Tent and pack for the long walks
Tuscany is full of trails, and the pilgrim routes cross it. A tent and a sleeping bag are needed a few days a year and take up a whole closet.
SUPs and boards for the sea
The Versilia coast is a little over an hour away. A board longer than two meters in a Florentine home is an awkward guest eleven months out of twelve.
From the garage Florence doesn't have to a pickup at your door
1. After the trip, dry and clean
After a day in the Apennines skis and boots come back wet: let them dry. Bikes free of mud, tents open and dry. Wet or muddy gear doesn't come in.
2. You book and tell us the floor
Choose the space and the date. You state the floor and whether there's an elevator when you book because they weigh on the loading time, and the quote shows rate and pickup before you pay.
3. We come to collect
Skis, bikes and boards leave as they are, with no box, and the operator does the stairs. Small things, helmets and gloves, go in boxes of 20 kg at most.
4. You get them back before your next outing
You book the redelivery with at least 48 hours' notice. To get only the skis and leave the rest you write to tell us what you need: the rest stays in the warehouse.
What you can store
Allowed
Skis, snowboards and boots
Clean and dry: skis we collect as they are, even two meters long. Helmets, goggles and poles in a box.
Bicycles
Road, vintage for the ciclostoriche, mountain bikes, folding, e-bikes: clean and mud-free. An e-bike counts as a battery device, allowed if intact, switched off and with the battery in good condition.
Tents and walking gear
Tents, sleeping bags, mats and packs, thoroughly dry: a tent packed away still damp doesn't come in.
SUPs, surfboards and boards
We collect them as they are, with no box: clean and free of sand.
Not allowed
Motorbikes and scooters, gas cylinders and loaded stoves, damaged or swollen batteries, food and liquids, and any gear that's wet or muddy stay out. A high-value collector's bike is among the items we don't accept: if in doubt, send us a photo before the pickup.

How much does it cost to keep skis and bikes out of the house?
The monthly rate depends on the square meters the gear takes up, and starts at 1 m². The pickup is a separate item, paid once, and accounts for the floor and the elevator; you pay the redelivery when you ask for it. With a longer commitment the discount applies to the pickup, never to the rate.
