The answers you need
Do I have to choose a district before booking?
No. The district pages describe how we work where you live, but to book all you need is the address in the quote, which recognizes the postal code on its own.
I live on a ZTL street: do I need to tell you?
Yes, put it in the notes with street and house number. The ZTL affects the time we plan the loading, and before you confirm the date we tell you how we'll do it.
My district doesn't have a page?
The five pages cover all the districts of the municipality. Even the outer areas, from Peretola to Galluzzo, fall under one of them, and the quote recognizes them from the address.
Does the fee cost more in the center than in the suburbs?
No. The fee depends on the square meters you use and follows the Florence price list, wherever you live. Only the pickup changes.

Can I keep things for just a few months?
Yes, storage is often just for people between two homes or two semesters. The fee is monthly, and to take part of it out you just write to us.

Districts and areas, one by one
The five districts of the Florence city government with the areas they gather. The grouping follows the city's, but it isn't the list of where we go: we serve the whole province of Florence, which is why we ask for an address, not a district.

The five districts of Florence
What changes from one district to another
The city groups Florence into five districts. Below you find them one by one, with the areas they include and the kind of access to expect at pickup. If you live between two areas, the address is what counts: you don't have to go to anyone, we come to you.
Historic center
The Duomo, Santa Croce and the Oltrarno of Santo Spirito: ZTL gates that read number plates, stone stairs and medieval lanes where the van stops short of the door. Areas: Duomo, Santa Croce, San Lorenzo, Santo Spirito, San Niccolò.
Campo di Marte
Villini with gardens, mid-century blocks and Settignano on the hill: big homes whose cellars and garages filled up over decades. Areas: Campo di Marte, Le Cure, Coverciano, Bellariva, Settignano.
Gavinana and Galluzzo
The south of Florence toward Chianti: roads that climb, farmhouses and villas with gravel drives, garages and lemon houses where things pick up damp. Areas: Gavinana, Ricorboli, Galluzzo, Sorgane, Ponte a Ema.
Isolotto and Legnaia
The district born in the 1950s: blocks of three or four floors, often without an elevator, with small cellars and families in homes that are now tight. Areas: Isolotto, Legnaia, Soffiano, Monticelli, Torregalli.
Rifredi
Novoli, Careggi and the station: rented rooms for students and hospital staff, basement garages with low passages, and contracts that end before the next home. Areas: Rifredi, Novoli, Careggi, Le Piagge, Peretola.

Price and coverage: the questions about Florence by district
Where is the nearest self storage to me in Florence?
You don't have to go anywhere: we come to collect at the address you write, on one of the dates the quote's calendar leaves free. The pickup is paid once, at the start, and you see the figure before confirming. You book the redelivery when you need it and settle it then.
Does the fee change from one district to another?
No: it depends on the square meters you use, the same in the Oltrarno and in Novoli. The pickup changes, because it's a trip priced on the address, the floor and the stretch to do by hand. Fee and pickup appear separately in the quote.
Do you also collect outside the municipality of Florence?
Yes, across the province: from Scandicci to Sesto Fiorentino, from Bagno a Ripoli to Empoli. What is already in storage we ship on a quote further away, in Italy and abroad.
Who collects, in all five districts
Smoves started in Milan in 2026, and Florence is the second city where we collect. It has a price list of its own and a calendar of its own, which you see in the quote. Your things stay in a dry warehouse with access control, CCTV and alarm.
