The date is set by the university, not by you: the Bocconi residence rules for 2026/2027 state that between the end of June and the end of August the room isn't assigned and that no material of any kind may be left in it, not even in the common areas. As soon as you know yours, book the pickup: moving it carries no penalty the first time, with 48 hours' notice.
There is no student-only discount at the moment: the active promotions show up in the booking form before you pay. Committing to several months gets you a discount on the pickup, not on the monthly rate, and taking it commits you to a minimum length.
No. Viale Bligny 19A is the office, not the warehouse, and the warehouse isn't open to visitors. We do the pickup ourselves, at your door, on the date you choose in the form.
You pay a monthly rate for the square meters you take up — the scale starts at 1 m² and the rate is fixed per size — plus a one-off pickup and transport charge at the start. Redelivery is booked when you need it and paid for then. The online quote shows you the rate and the pickup before you confirm.
For high-season pickup (June-July), at least 2-3 weeks ahead. For the rest of the year, 3-5 days is enough. A booked pickup isn't cancelled, but the date can be moved: the first move carries no penalty, with at least 48 hours' notice, and if the new day costs more you only pay the difference.

Smoves collects your boxes at your door in the Bocconi area — Porta Romana, Crocetta, Viale Bligny — and keeps them in the warehouse for as long as you need. You pay a monthly rate for the square meters you take up, plus a one-off pickup and transport charge. You book the redelivery yourself.
Our office is at Viale Bligny 19A, the same street as the Bligny residence: the area we collect in is the area we work in every day.
Smoves started from exactly this problem. Francesco, who founded it, was an out-of-town Bocconi student with a room to clear by the end of June, exams still running and his parents four hundred kilometers away. He looked for someone to do it for him and found nobody.
We collect from the university residences — Castiglioni, Bocconi Residence, Isonzo, Bligny — and from private apartments across Crocetta and Porta Romana. Yes, from university residences and from any private apartment in the area. Put the residence name and your room number in the form: the driver arrives already knowing where to go, and the doorman doesn't have to guess who we are. If you're not there on the day, a flatmate, a friend or the porter can let us in.
Yes. Storage runs month by month and has no maximum length: you extend it as long as you need and close it when you get back. A minimum commitment only exists if you take the duration discount. On your return we redeliver to your new Milan address, which after a year away is almost never the one you left from.
