Do you do the actual move, as in carry furniture into my new house?
Yes, on a quote, and Smoves stays your single point of contact: our own team handles pickup and transport. If you only need storage in between, we collect your things, store them in our warehouse and redeliver to the address you give us, even if the new home is in Treviglio, with at least 48 hours' notice. If the new home is further away, write to us: we ship on a quote.
Is postal code 20066 used only by Melzo?
Yes, 20066 belongs entirely to Melzo, including its hamlets, and unlike other postal codes around here it isn't shared with other municipalities in the Martesana. Still, the full address matters at booking because the pickup cost is calculated from street and house number, along with the date you choose in the availability calendar.
Melzo is outside Milan: do you still collect?
Yes, across the whole Martesana, and from here as far as Treviglio and the Bergamo area. The charge per size is identical in Melzo and across Milan; the pickup is a real journey so the quote calculates it from address and date, and you see the cost before booking. Do I have to be there when you pick up?
You or someone you send: a relative, a roommate, the neighbor on the landing. You choose the time slot when you book, so there's no need to take a day off. If no one is in that day and you haven't let us know, the pickup remains due.

Courtyards, attics and the Padana: how we collect in Melzo
In Melzo the move has a gap in the middle
In Melzo a move almost always has a gap in the middle: the lease ends at month-end and the new place frees up three weeks later. We collect what you don't need now, store it in our warehouse and bring it back to the address you give us, the new home included. If you need a full move, we do it, on a quote. The center is made of courtyards and balcony-access houses, surrounded by small villas and low 1970s blocks, and in the middle a station from which every morning half the town leaves for Milan. A free Saturday to load a van and drive to a storage unit is hard to find: we make the trip.

Balcony-access houses and shared courtyards: you enter through the hallway and the walkway belongs to everyone. In the notes, say which courtyard to use.
Low blocks and attics
In three- or four-story blocks from the 1970s and 1980s there's often no elevator, or it doesn't reach the attic: the stairs there are narrow and steep. Give your floor when you book: time on the stairs is charged on the actual time, with an estimate before you book.

The old center has narrow streets, and the SS 11 crossing town is busy at rush hour: if you can, pick a mid-morning slot.
Where we load
In Villaggio Parco and the streets of small houses you load right outside the door. Around the station and along the railway's industrial belt, parking spaces free up at set times.
