“Excellent service. Whenever I had doubts or questions, they responded very quickly, within a day or two max. The redelivery service is as quick and convenient as it possibly can be, made my life as a student very easy.”

The answers you need

Bergamo has nine postal codes: which one do I enter in the quote?

The one for your address, between 24121 and 24129. The old 24100 is no longer used, and some streets change postal code depending on the house number: the quote reads street and number, so just enter them correctly. For reference, Palazzo Frizzoni, the town hall in piazza Matteotti, is in 24122.

Do you collect inside the walls of Città Alta?

Yes. The limited traffic zone requires a loading permit and grants it in short time slots, so pick your date with some margin and note that you live in Città Alta and which entrance to use.

Does pickup in Bergamo cost more than in Milan?

Yes. For the space you pay the same monthly rate as in any other city, because only the floor area counts. The pickup depends on the road, and from Bergamo the van covers more of it: the online quote works it out from your address and chosen day, and puts it beside the rate before you book.

Do you also go to towns in the province?

Yes, anywhere in the province of Bergamo, from the Val Seriana to the Bassa, and on toward Brescia, Lecco and Monza. For a move far away, in Italy or abroad, we ship what you have in storage on a quote.

Walls, old quarters and traffic zones: how we collect in Bergamo

Bergamo, upper town and lower town

Bergamo is two cities, one above the other. Up top, Città Alta inside the Venetian walls, with cobbled streets and a limited traffic zone that allows only a few loading windows a day. Below, the historic quarters such as Pignolo, Santa Caterina and Palazzo, then the newer districts from Longuelo to Celadina, with blocks of apartments, garages and cellars that fill up fast. About fifty kilometers separate it from Milan: the monthly rate doesn't notice, the pickup does, and the quote makes it clear before you decide.

Which neighborhoods and postal codes do we cover?

Neighborhoods: Città Alta, Borgo Pignolo, Borgo Santa Caterina, Borgo Palazzo, Sant'Alessandro, San Tomaso, Redona, Valtesse, Loreto, Longuelo, Malpensata, Boccaleone, Celadina, Colognola, Campagnola. Postal codes: 24121, 24122, 24123, 24124, 24125, 24126, 24127, 24128, 24129.

In Città Alta, loading runs on the clock

The limited traffic zone lets commercial vehicles in to load and unload only with a permit and in two short slots, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. If you live inside the walls, tell us when you book: the date is chosen around those windows.

The wardrobe won't fit on the funicular

Many streets in Città Alta are narrow, paved with stone and partly pedestrian, and the van stops where the road allows. From there to the door we go on foot: tell us in the notes which door or courtyard to use.

Old buildings, narrow staircases

In the old quarters and in Città Alta an elevator is rare and the stairs are often narrow. Give your floor in the booking: the extra minutes on the steps are already estimated in the quote.

Outside the walls, the building gate decides

Here loading often happens from the driveway or the underground garages. If the gate has a remote, someone needs to open it.

When space in Bergamo runs out before your things do

Lectures at Sant'Agostino, a room to leave in July

Students at the University of Bergamo who change rooms between semesters leave with us whatever won't fit in the car, and have it brought to the new room.

Renovating a house in a historic quarter

New floors and wiring need empty rooms, and in the buildings of Pignolo or Santa Caterina the courtyard is no place to park furniture. It all leaves together and comes back when the work is done.

The garage is needed for the car again

Bikes, boxes and the dismantled nursery go in one trip.
